Online applications are invited from the intending eligible candidates who are citizens of India for filling up the following posts as per the terms and conditions indicated below:

Terms and conditions and eligibility
1. Terms and conditions:
  1. The recruitment to the aforesaid posts shall be purely temporary (on contractual) and may be terminated at any time without assigning any reason thereof.
  2. The term of initial appointment shall be for six months and may be extended for a subsequent period depending upon the necessity of the work.
  3. No. TA/DA shall be admissible to the candidates for appearing the Test/interview.
  4. The Assembly Secretariat reserves the rights to forfeit the candidature of any candidate without assigning any reason thereof.
Age Limit & Relaxation

The applicant shall not be less than 21 years or more than 40 years of age as on 01-01-2026. The upper age limit is relaxable only as stipulated below:

  1. 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
  2. 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates.
The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the School / Matriculation / HSLC Admit Card / Certificate issued by a recognized Board / Council / Schools / or Other Government document, as applicable and notified.
Eligibility Criteria
Post 1 Hindi Reporter
  1. The candidates must possess a Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
  2. The candidates should possess a Diploma in Hindi Stenography having the qualifying Speed of 80 words per minute as well as DTP typewriting (Hindi) from a recognised Institution.
  3. The candidate should have 6 (six) months Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application.
  4. The Candidate must have sound knowledge of Assamese and English language.
  5. The candidates having knowledge/experience in Parliamentary functioning shall be given preference.
Post 2 Hindi Translator
  1. The candidates must possess a Bachelor degree or its equivalent in any discipline from a recognized University with Hindi as one of the Subject in the course.
  2. The Candidate should have sound knowledge in Assamese and English literature.
  3. The candidate should have 6 (six) months Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application.
  4. The candidates having knowledge/experiences in Parliamentary functioning or Reporting in Hindi News Papers shall be given preference.
Post 3 Bengali Translator
  1. The candidates must possess a Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized University with Bengali as one of the Subject in the course.
  2. The Candidate should have sound knowledge in Assamese, English and Bengali literature.
  3. The candidate should have 6 (six) months Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application.
  4. The candidates having knowledge/experience in Parliamentary functioning or Reporting in Bengali News Papers shall be given preference.
Post 4 Karbi Translator
  1. The candidates must possess a Bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized University.
  2. The Candidate should have sound knowledge in Assamese, English and Karbi language/literature.
  3. The candidate should have 6 (six) months Diploma/Certificate in Computer Application.
  4. The candidates having knowledge/experience in Parliamentary functioning or Reporting in Karbi News Papers shall be given preference.
Selection Procedure

The Selection of candidates for recruitment to the aforesaid posts shall be as follows:-

  1. The Assembly Secretariat will shortlist the names of eligible candidates.
  2. The candidates shortlisted for the post of Hindi Reporters will have to sit in a Speed test to be conducted by this Secretariat.
  3. The candidates shortlisted for the post of Hindi/Karbi/Bengali Translator will be required to appear before the interview Board to be conducted by this Secretariat.
How to apply:-
  • The candidates must apply by registering their names online at the official website www.assambidhansabha.org and uploading the credentials as per instructions given at the time of online Registration.
  • The candidature with incomplete application shall be summarily rejected.
  • The list of eligible candidates shortlisted for the Test/Interview shall be displayed in the aforesaid official website.
  • The date, place and venue of Test/Interview for each of the posts shall be informed by a notice in the aforementioned website.
  • The shortlisted candidates may download their Admit Card from the official websites mentioned above.

IMPORTANT ADVISORY:
THE CANDIDATES APPLIED FOR ANY OF THE POSTS ARE ADVISED TO CHECK THE AFORESAID WEBSITE OF THE ASSEMBLY SECRETARIAT, AS ALL INFORMATION/CORRESPONDENCE REGARDING TEST SHALL BE MADE ONLINE AND NO CORRESPONDENCE IN ANY FORM EITHER ONLINE OR OFFLINE SHALL BE MADE PERSONALLY DURING THE ENTIRE RECRUITMENT PROCESS.
